When we first pitched BlockCityP2C at JumpStart, it was to be a social network / sales platform powered by Blockchain technology. Yet as we began to work on BlockCityP2C, we saw a need for an economic development organization that helped artists like us to fund their art and sustain their work. Since we have been around for two decades, and transitioned from artists to artist/business brand, we are in a unique place with a particular set of skills to help the arts here. According to a new report, the arts have contributed $41 billion to the economy in Ohio. So why do artists (especially filmmakers ) get neglected by the business community? As a TV station manager once said, everyone needs a “Rabbi (advocate).” Prelude2Cinema will be the advocate for the Artists here using BlockCityP2C.
